Sha-Boom Mecca Funk Sha-Boom '99
Sha-Boom is the brainchild of former M-People bassist/vocalist Mark Bell. Taka co-wrote a couple of the tracks with Bell, among those one called "Never Felt This Way Before". Taka sings on seven of the album's ten tracks, including the first single released from the album, "Sweet Sensation" (release in June) and on the third "If You Need Me" (release later in '99). On the second single "Totally", the vocals are handled by Paul Johnson. "Mecca Funk" is due out in the summer or fall.

Sunburst Band Here Comes The Sunburst Band Z '98
Released October 1998 in the U.K. only. Taka sings lead on a few tracks. An absolutely brilliant Joey Negro project that received raving reviews in Britain's Blues and Soul magazine.

Bootsy Collins What's Bootsy Doin' Columbia '88
Taka sings backing vocals on this rather disappointing set from Bootsy, which was re-issued on CD in the U.K. in the spring of '99. Includes one gem of a track, though, "Party On Plastic".

Southside Johnny & The Jukes In The Heat Mirage/Atco '84
Taka sings background vocals on the tracks "Captured" and "New Coat Of Paint"

Stargard Back 2 Back Warner '81
Stargard was a female duo (originally a trio), consisting of Rochelle Runnells and Janice Williams. They are best remembered for their 1977 U.S. #1 hit single "Which Way Is Up", which was featured in the soundtrack to the movie of the same name. On this LP, one of Stargard's best, Taka contributes backing vocals. One of the finest albums Norman Whitfield produced in the early 80's. Contains unbelievably funky tracks like "Back To The Funk", "High On The Boogie" and "Here Comes Love".

Dream Machine Dream Machine RCA '81
Taka was one of the lead vocalists in Dream Machine, a group which Norman Whitfield put together and produced. It included former members of Undisputed Truth. The ballad-orientated album spawned one up-tempo, but unsuccessful, single called "Shakedown", but the funkiest and strongest track is "Dream Machine", where Taka really "let's it all hang out".

Hot Stuff Hot Stuff Crystal Clear '80
Taka sings lead on this "live" studio album, (the tracks were cut "live" in the studio in one take). The material consists of disco covers, such as Sylvester's "Dance (Disco Heat)", Lipps Inc.'s "Funkytown", Donna Summer's  "Hot Stuff/Bad Birls", Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way" and  Alicia Bridges's "I Love The Nightlife". The LP was recorded September 6 and 7, 1980 at Allen Zentz Recording Studio in Hollywood, California and among the musicians were the Horny Horns.

The Glass Family Mr. DJ You Know How To Make Me Dance JDC '78
Taka is one of the featured vocalists on this rather mediocre disco project, which was released on cherry-red vinyl.

Undisputed Truth Method To The Madness Whitfield/Warner -76
Taka's first and only album as a member of the legendary "psychedelic soul" group, Undisputed Truth. Contains the hit single "You+Me=Love", and other wonderfully funky Whitfield jams like "Hole In The Wall" (written by Norman Whitfield and Rochelle Runnells from Stargard).

D.J. Rogers It's Good To Be Alive RCA '75
Taka toured with the Los Angeles-based vocalist/keyboardist/composer D.J. Rogers (or DeWayne Julius Rogers, as his friends know him) and contributed background vocals on this album which contains "Say You Love Me"; a medium-sized hit for Rogers in 1976.

Parliament The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein Casablanca '76
Parliament Mothership Connection Casablanca '75
Funkadelic Tales of Kidd Funkadelic Westbound '76
Taka sings backup vocals on these three albums, which are among the best P-Funk ever produced.
